Casey M. Says:

When Camp Darfur came to my school recently, I had never even heard of Darfur, and genocide was jsut a word in my vocabulary. I knew that there had beem previous genocides, and I hated the thought of them. But to find out there was one going on RIGHT NOW was heart breaking. I had not heard anything from the media, nor in school about what was going on in Darfur. Camp Darfur had a great effect on me and many of my class mates. Some of the toughest kids in school were trying to hide their feelings, but you could tell that the stories and pictures of the tradgeties going on down there had their effect on them too. I was astonished that something like this hasn’t been taken more seriously. I mean just going on google, many people know about the genocide in Darfur, and I just don’t understand that if this is known of, why aren’t people making more of an effort to share this with media, or even their friends! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMING I am going to help in any way I can. PEACE, Casey
